I celebrate my fro because it is a representation of me in my natural state without the rule of society’s attempt to tame me thru it. It represents my ability to defy gravity everytime it rises it stirs the universe.
In a world where the Afro African man and woman is an assumed threat by mearly living and breahting My hair becomes a statement. A statement that I AM THAT I AM ALL THAT I AM and I will NOT BE SHAMED to be something else.
There was a time when the euro man/woman ridiculed the Afro man and woman for everything … Their Noses, their lips, their hair, their skin, their butt, their curves, their culture, their customs.
BUT NOW THEY SPEND MILLIONS TO SURGICALLY REPLICATE THE AFRO MAN AND WOMAN.
This disfunction never represented a problem with the Afro Man/Woman but it only represented the disfuction within the euro man/woman!
My African Afro today Represents my triumph over all the atrocities, genocidal attempts on the lives and cultures of my ancestors past and present
My African Afro today represents the fight to keep myself, my people and my culture authentically real and true. My African Afro represents OUR PATH TO OUR OWN FREEDOM OF WHICH WE WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING FOR!
MY AFRICAN AFRO REPRESENTS YOU!
FOR I AM THE DESCENDANT OF THE ORIGINAL PEOPLE AND THEREFORE I AM YOUR ANCESTOR!
I AM YOU!
AFRICAN AFRO
