Surprise!! Your hair is a mess and you need to wash and detangle. Normally you leave your cleansing and detangling to your shampoo and conditioner hoping it’ll work. Well it won’t… at least not as good as this method. If you have afro textured/curly or just tangled and dry hair you are in for a treat. You will want to try this method today!
Pre-Wash Cleansing & Detangling Treatment
As of late I have not been using very much conditioner or shampoo for that matter. I have been leaving my curly lock to nature’s blessings. To relieve my scalp of dirt, itching, and dandruff I have been pretreating my hair with my very own pre wash treatment. I use Coconut Oil and or Olive Oil(Extra Virgin’s the best) with Aloe Vera Juice/Gel(in no specific measurements). I put them together, warm them, and finally massage it all onto my scalp and hair. This warm oil massage lasts’ for about 20 minutes or until I am ready to stop and I let it sit. In the shower I rinse it out and it leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth just with that alone. But for added results….
After my rinse/wash I may rinse my hair with Apple Cider Vinegar. Yes, Apple Cider Vinegar! About 1 cup ACV to 4 cups of water. This is the secret to my detangling ease. The ACV works to immediately loosen hard tangles and detangle slightly tangled hair. I use a comb to easily break apart the stubborn tangle or 2. This formula also works to cleanse your hair and scalp of product buildup as well as scalp issues such as dandruff, itchy, alopecia etc.
Trying either or both of these methods will surely help you start your week off right with soft, moisturized, bouncy hair that’s clean and tangle free.
