What I Wore: State of Health of Hip Hop Event

This past weekend for me was all about the State of Health of Hip Hop Conference event. I was totally prepared to give my grand speech. I wore Iman Fashion Chambray On Chambray Choker Neck Top and Boot Leg Pants. I paired the set with a pair of gold BCBGeneration pumps. I stuck to an easy everyday face kind of look and kicked it up a notch with the highlight. No lashes… Which Could have been a mistake if my lashes weren’t being friendly that night but hey no complaints.

For my hair I totally went SUPER Quick and Easy hairstyle for natural hair with a Genie tie. I had taken out my Feedin Cornrows and needed something quick, simple, yet still cute. I thought my little genie hair tie would give it a nice touch(And IT DID). To create this look I simple used a little edge control around my edges,  brushed my hair up and wrapped the hair tie around my hair to create a bun. I kind wanted the bun to look a little messy so I fluffed and tugged the bun slightly, And Done!!! I’ll have a tutorial on How I Went from Braids to This Super simple but cute bun.

Let’s get to the pictures of the outfit. This is actually a business casual set that can be worn for any occasion. I love the flowy feeling Hi-Low Choker Neck Top. I settled on tucking the front and letting the back hang. I’ve recently discovered Iman Fashion and I gotta say her pants and literally everything. They fit they come in petite sizes for shorties like me and she also offers them in plus size as well. If you’re looking for business casual or even just regular everyday wear Iman will have something for you.

What can I say about these pumps. The Gold BCBGeneration pumps that I have are truly one of my go to pairs when I need something cute and easy to walk in. They can truly be dressed up or down and that’s pretty much all I need in a shoe. I got these on sale for about $40 about a year or so ago and they save me EVERY TIME!!!!
